Healthy Instant Thandai Recipe (Low-Calorie & Sugar-Free)

Ingredients:
For Healthy Thandai Powder:

• Almonds – 6-8 almonds
• Cashews – 4-6 cashews
• Pistachios – 4-5pcs
• Melon seeds (Magaj) – 1.5 tbsp
• Poppy seeds (Khus Khus) – 1/2 tbsp
• Fennel seeds (Saunf) – 1 tbsp
• Black peppercorns – 1 tsp
• Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
• Dried rose petals – 1 tbsp (or 1/2 tsp rose water while blending)
Instructions:
Step 1: Make Healthy Thandai Powder
Lightly dry roast almonds, cashews, pistachios, melon seeds, and poppy seeds in a pan for 1-2 minutes on low flame. Let them cool.
Blend the roasted nuts with fennel seeds, black pepper, cardamom powder, and dried rose petals into a fine powder.
Store in an airtight container (can be stored for up to a month).
For Thandai Drink:
Toned milk or unsweetened almond milk- 2cups
Homemade thandai powder- 3tbsp
1tbsp honey or 1/5 tbsp stevia powder or 1tbsp jaggery powder (adjust to taste)
Saffron strands- 5-6 strands
Rose water- Few drops or Rose Petals- 6-8petals
1 tbsp finely chopped nuts (for garnish, optional)
Crushed ice
Step 2: Prepare Thandai Drink
Blend chilled toned/almond milk, 2 tbsp thandai powder, honey/stevia, saffron, and rose water until smooth.
Pour into glasses, garnish with finely chopped nuts & saffron strands.
Serve chilled & enjoy a healthy Holi treat!
